Chronograph watches

Chronograph watches display two independent timekeeping systems: one showing standard ongoing time, and the other recording short times. The hand that enables the latter measurement, known in French as the “trotteuse” or the central chronograph seconds hand, may be started, stopped and reset to zero by dedicated pushers. Since 1877 and the production of its first chronograph watch, Vacheron Constantin has enabled wearers of these timepieces to make direct measurements of the exact duration of a given phenomenon.
