Introduced by the Republic and Canton of Geneva in 1886 as the ultimate standard in excellence and an emblem of Geneva’s fine watchmaking expertise, the Poinçon de Genève or Hallmark of Geneva, is synonymous with provenance, quality craftsmanship and reliability.
This watch in 18K 4N pink gold pays tribute to the legendary and assertive “cow horns” that adorned the 1955 manual-winding chronograph, reference 6087, the first water-resistant chronograph manufactured by Vacheron Constantin. Painted in blue, the tachymeter scale makes it possible to determine an average speed thanks to the central hand of the chronograph. This splendid column-wheel chronograph caliber is stamped with the Hallmark of Geneva, a guarantee of excellence and reliability.

For more than thirty years, Historiques timepieces have revived the icons of Vacheron Constantin’s technical and aesthetic heritage.

This highly original display – made possible via a counter-clockwise 45-degree rotation of the movement – was created by Vacheron Constantin in the 1920s for a automobile-loving American customer. Extravagance and exacting standards become one.
