Geneva Seal

Introduced by the Republic and Canton of Geneva in 1886 as the ultimate standard in excellence and an emblem of Geneva’s fine watchmaking expertise, the Poinçon de Genève or Hallmark of Geneva, is synonymous with provenance, quality craftsmanship and reliability.

To celebrate Vacheron Constantin’s 270th anniversary, the Maison unveils this beautiful timepiece in 18K white gold. This patented watch is the expression of an ideal combining dream, passion, expertise and heritage. The dragging double retrograde owns on demand two modes of display. By pressing the button at 10 o’clock, either the hour is continuously indicated thanks to the titanium character’s arms, or the arms are fixed alongside the body. The 6 days double sectorial power reserve display combined with the hand-engraved precision 3D moon ensures mechanical sophistication. This complication, requiring only a single adjustment every 122 years, is surrounded by a ring indicating its age. At the back of the watch: a celestial vault that presents a sideral time reading and the observation of constellations from the northern hemisphere. Certified Poinçon de Genève, a guarantee of excellence and reliability, this watch pays homage to Vacheron Constantin’s vision: “Do better if possible and that is always possible”.

Métiers d’Art Tribute to the Quest of Time

A wristwatch complement
to the monumental La Quête du Temps

Against a star chart showing the sky over Geneva at Vacheron Constantin’s founding, a golden Astronomer points out the time on a deceptively simple double-retrograde display. Sidereal time and real-time tracking of the constellations on the rear dial bear witness to the true complexity of this anniversary piece.
