Tribute to Explorer Naturalists - Cap de Bonne-Espérance 7500U/000R-B994
Introduced by the Republic and Canton of Geneva in 1886 as the ultimate standard in excellence and an emblem of Geneva’s fine watchmaking expertise, the Poinçon de Genève or Hallmark of Geneva, is synonymous with provenance, quality craftsmanship and reliability.
Vacheron Constantin pays tribute to the Explorer Naturalists in a series of 4 limited editions of 10 pieces each. Inspired by art, history and culture, the collection set sail for the scientific discoveries of naturalists who travelled the world’s oceans aboard the english ship Beagle in the early 1830s. The remarkable mix of hand-engraving and enameling reveals the double aesthetic of the story. By virtue of its construction, the self-winding 1120AT/1 caliber, displays satellites hours on the bottom dial. Its movement is stamped with the Hallmark of Geneva, a guarantee of excellence and reliability.
Precision mechanics and traditional savoir-faire combine in the Métiers d’Art Tribute to the Celestial series: 12 watches, each dedicated to one of the zodiac constellations and its associated sun sign in Western astrology.
Celebrating the beauty and mystery of the celestial vault, Vacheron Constantin introduces the Métiers d’Art Tribute to the Celestial, a series of 12 references powered by the Manufacture’s ultra-thin self-winding Calibre 2160. Each dial features a different sign from the zodiac, illustrated in hand-turned guilloché with diamond ‘stars’ for a timeless yet contemporary feel. The elegant 39 mm white gold case is set with baguette-cut blue sapphires whose rich hue complements the dial.
