Chronograph 5520V/210A-B148
Introduced by the Republic and Canton of Geneva in 1886 as the ultimate standard in excellence and an emblem of Geneva’s fine watchmaking expertise, the Poinçon de Genève or Hallmark of Geneva, is synonymous with provenance, quality craftsmanship and reliability.
Elegant yet casual, this steel watch houses a column-wheel chronograph enhanced by a date aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock. Its dial reveals a translucent lacquered blue; its back reveals an oscillating weight in 22K gold featuring decoration inspired by the wind rose. Thanks to its clasp and system of three easily interchangeable straps – steel, leather, and rubber – the watch can be personalized according to the owner’s wishes.

Métiers d’Art Tribute to the Quest of Time
A wristwatch complement to the monumental La Quête du Temps
Against a star chart showing the sky over Geneva at Vacheron Constantin’s founding, a golden Astronomer points out the time on a deceptively simple double-retrograde display. Sidereal time and real-time tracking of the constellations on the rear dial bear witness to the true complexity of this anniversary piece.

A Tribute to the Quest of Time
Where history, savoir-faire, and design converge in a masterpiece of Haute Horlogerie

This 270th anniversary piece pays tribute to Vacheron Constantin’s heritage while complementing the Maison’s La Quête du Temps, whose Astronomer the central figure alludes to. The watch also references the 1930 ‘Bras en l’Air’ pocketwatch while showcasing the Maison’s mastery of sophisticated retrograde mechanisms and astronomical displays.

A testament to Vacheron Constantin’s technical expertise, the Manufacture’s new Calibre 3670 represents three years of development and four patent applications. Comprising 512 components, it combines a six-day power reserve with high-frequency operation of 5 Hz, powering a double retrograde display with a choice of on-demand or continuous operation.

The design blends traditional artistry with innovative techniques and materials. Standing before the sky above Geneva as it looked on 17 September, 1755, the dial’s golden figure titanium figure, like the realistic 3D moon, is treated with PVD coatings but meticulously finished by hand. Meanwhile the hour and minutes scales are hand crafted in 18k 3N white gold.
