"The latest addition to the Maison's collections Egérie is exclusively aimed at women. From very early on, Vacheron Constantin began targeting female customers who were interested in timepieces designed just for them. For example, at the beginning of the 19th century, our Maison offered women's models featuring complications, such as repeater watches with highly sophisticated mechanisms.
Today, the success of Vacheron Constantin watches and the interest they attract are increasingly popular with women; our Haute Horlogerie models are obviously not just exclusively for male clientele, and there are a number of women's models in the company's collections, with or without complication movements.
Egérie is an ode to femininity, an influence that can be seen in its exceptionally refined dial, which delicately evokes the pleated fabrics present in the world of Haute Couture. Egérie also features a quick-change system that allows for easy strap swaps. This timepiece is a stunning example of Fine Watchmaking thanks to its automatic movements, one of which is equipped with a moon-phase display that is, like the crown, artistically positioned as an off-center sub-dial located at 1:30.
I appreciate the elegant and highly feminine design of the Egérie. I particularly admire its refined and sophisticated dial which showcases a pleated motif obtained through “tapisserie”, an ancient decorative technique carried out using machines that date back more than a century and that provides exceptional finesse and refinement."
