"As its name suggests, Traditionnelle, launched in 2007, is the expression of the Maison's classic style, in its most traditional sense. From the very beginning, Traditionnelle was conceived as a collection that could include simple models, highly complicated models and everything in between, meaning it would be a collection made up of different sizes and scales. This is why the flank of its case has a recess on the lower part which allows the case to look smaller than it is, particularly in the case of complicated models which are comparatively thicker than simpler models.
The Traditionnelle watch’s dial has received particular care: It includes several different finishes—satin, brushed and opaline—in the spirit of Vacheron Constantin's creations from the 1930s and 1940s in particular. These different finishes give the dial a sophisticated and precious look while providing contrasting areas for excellent readability.
Personally, I love the rigorous style of the Traditionnelle in particular, especially because these watches feature complications and grand complications. The style of the case is straight to the point and its multi-finish dials make it more legible while providing subtle variations depending on the angle the light hits its surface - a perfect alliance between classicism and sophistication."
