About this watch

Royal Chronometer” is a trademark registered by Vacheron Constantin in 1907. Originally made to withstand climatic constraints, the first pocket watches had a robust and impervious case, protecting the movement from dust and humidity. The first “Royal Chronometer” wristwatch was introduced in 1953. Inspired by the original pocket watch from 1907 and with the same attributes (robustness, resistance to dust and humidity, readability, precision).

About the caliber

Housing the first Vacheron Constantin automatic calibre with an adjustable inertia balance: calibre K1072. Considered as one of the best self-winding calibers of its time with its ruby bearings to minimize the friction, is stamped with the hallmark of Geneva.
