This Royal Chronometer reference 42001 was manufactured between 1975 and 1977, and will mark the transition from a casual chic chronometer wristwatch to a sport chronometer with metal integrated bracelet. It existed in both yellow gold and stainless steel – the latter being a new metal assortment for this chronometer category.

All watches produced under this reference were individually numbered – by engraving on the back then black lacquered, making this piece very collectible. Royal Chronometer models are considered among the brand’s finest watches of the 1970’s.

Reference 42001 houses the bi-directional self-winding calibre 1096 with date indication – instantaneous “jump” system – stop balance and chronometer certification.
