Unveiled in 2004, the Patrimony watch gave birth to a classic, timeless, elegant and minimalist collection rooted in the models developed by Vacheron Constantin during the 1950s.
Elegance and minimalism
In spite of the emergence of a range of instrument-watches designed to accompany thrill-seekers, the Maison maintained its approach to creating classic and functional timepieces. Vacheron Constantin has never strayed from this collection’s understated aesthetic, served by the development of ultra-thin calibres for models ranging from three-hand watches to those with complications.
An exceptional heritage
The simplest designs are often the most difficult to achieve. The assertive minimalism of the Patrimony collection reveals a multitude of extremely meticulous details.
The extremely refined dial is highlighted by applied indexes following the lines of the subtly curved case. The slightly curved hands mark the passage of time, punctuated by a ‘circular pearl’ minute-track.

These exceptional Patrimony timepieces illustrate Vacheron Constantin's quest for elegance and minimalism.
Manual-winding watch in yellow gold
This 1957 watch in yellow gold, known as Reference 6179, served as inspiration for the collection with its deliberately minimalist approach. Its domed silver-toned dial swept over by slender baton-type hands is punctuated only by radiating indexes and ‘circular pearl’ minute-track.
“Disco Volante" ultra-thin manual-winding pocket watch
This ultra-thin yellow gold model is the pocket version of a watch nicknamed "Disco-Volante" by Italian collectors. It is distinguished by its case middle with bevelled sides, also known as the "knife-edge case middle", designed to accentuate the extreme slenderness of the timepiece intended by equipping it with calibre 1003.
Patrimony Minute Repeater Ultra-Thin
This timepiece is entirely in keeping with the aesthetic codes of the Patrimony collection characterised by its elegant understatement. When first presented in 2013, this watch established itself as the thinnest minute repeater ever produced at just 8.09 mm thick, housing calibre 1731 that was also the thinnest of its generation at a mere 3.90 mm thick.
The new Patrimony models for 2024, with their sunburst aged-silver-toned dials are an extension of Vacheron Constantin's pursuit of elegance, with watches featuring a perfectly mastered minimalist aesthetic.
