Les Collectionneurs Reference 4642
4642/000J 35 mm Yellow Gold

Les collectionneurs reference 4642
On this extremely thin (just 6 mm-thick) 1953 model, the emancipation from great watchmaking classicism took the form of a yellow gold case with horns welded to the case middle, resulting in a piece that appears to have no attachments. This design is coupled with a wide, beveled bezel, and an extra-flat shape whose elegance is enhanced by a strong presence on the wrist.

About this watch
The understated satin dial in yellow gold is embellished by a small seconds hand with simple markers, which completes the impression of great watchmaking mastery for this reference 4642.
About the caliber
The hand-wound Caliber 458 boasts a chronometric precision regulator with a thermoregulated beryllium screw balance and a regulator that allows for fine adjustment using an eccentric pin. The large bridge covering the barrel adds to the sturdiness of this instantly recognizable caliber. This timepiece is an example of post-war watchmaking, reliable and precise, but also beginning to show the first signs of aesthetic freedom.
