Les Collectionneurs Jump Hour

43040 36 mm Yellow Gold

Les collectionneurs JUMP HOUR

43040

This 18K yellow gold watch with jumping hour display is powered by the Caliber 1120. A movement developed in the 1960s and the thinnest of its generation at 2.45 mm, accommodated in this model's extremely slim (7 mm) case. Remarkably precise thanks to its annular beryllium balance with inertia blocks and flat balance-spring, this watch is the result of perfect mastery of extra-thin movements in order to create an aesthetic design that is both original and adventurous.

About this watch

Complications for the sake of beauty is a particularly valued concept at Vacheron Constantin. A concept that led to the creation of watches with jumping hours, which were soon complemented by a mysterious minute display, as seen on this 1996 model. The same principle, that of combining these two horological complications, had already inspired Vacheron Constantin in the first half of the 20th century when it created Chronoscope watches based on a patent filed by Robert Cart in the late 1920s.

About the caliber

This visually understated reference 43040, presents a simple hour window and onyx minute pointer visible through a gap in the dial with delicate guilloché. It is powered by the extra-flat automatic 1120 HS movement.
