Les Collectionneurs TEARDROP

4014/000J 30 mm Yellow Gold

Les collectionneurs TEARDROP

4014/000J

This watch elegantly bears the distinctive hallmarks of Vacheron Constantin timepieces produced in the 1940s. Measuring 30 mm in diameter, perfectly standard at that time, it comes in a yellow gold case with a slim bezel and a refined dial with appliqué hour markers and Arabic numerals. The internal railroad-style minute counter adds depth to the dial, as does the small seconds counter.

About this watch

The discreet circular-grained ball crown of this timepiece complements the round shape of the half-drop horns welded to the case middle. First introduced by the Maison at the end of the 1930s, this horn shape became a Vacheron Constantin signature and was featured on many creations during the decade that followed. The slim case, at just 8 mm thick, adds to the piece's overall harmony.

This timepiece is an example of post-war watchmaking, reliable and precise, but also beginning to show the first signs of aesthetic freedom.

About the caliber

The hand-wound Caliber 458 boasts a chronometric precision regulator with a thermoregulated beryllium screw balance and a regulator that allows for fine adjustment using an eccentric pin. The large bridge covering the barrel adds to the sturdiness of this instantly recognizable caliber.

A trusted link with your timepiece

Each timepiece from this exclusive offer comes with a Digital Passport that provides trust and transparency thanks to key information such as the timepiece's Serial Number and History, information which will be updated throughout the watch's lifetime. A certificate of authenticity and a two-year warranty will aslo be available.
