About this watch
Reference 34004 offers a design that is perfectly in line with the artistic trends of 1970s watchmaking: exploration of form, aesthetic minimalism, a hardstone dial, integrated bracelet horns and a slender case. Vacheron Constantin's octagonal watch in white gold, with a stepped case middle, a height of just 6.5 mm, a black onyx dial with no hour markers and integrated horns, is a beautiful interpretation of the "less is more" style.
About the caliber
To power this watch, Vacheron Constantin has opted for the Caliber K1014, an extra-thin manual-winding movement that replaces the famous 1001 with small seconds and 1002 with central seconds from the 1970s.

This movement, which is equally slim at 2.94 mm high, offers an optimized design in terms of production, a development made necessary by the new competitive landscape of quartz watches. Its finishes demonstrate Vacheron Constantin's uncompromising approach to mechanical watchmaking, with aesthetic sophistication as one of its greatest assets.
