Vacheron Constantin unveils

Today, Vacheron Constantin, the world’s oldest watch manufacturer in continuous operation, launched The American Heritage of Vacheron Constantin, a ground-breaking interactive online event. A first on the web, it will take the form of a timeline where the stories of the US nation, the brand’s 256-year history, and private collectors all meet. The American Heritage timeline launch coincides with the opening of Vacheron Constantin’s first-ever US boutique, located in New York City at 729 Madison Avenue at East 64th Street, in the city’s “Gold Coast.”

The American Heritage of Vacheron Constantin will showcase untold stories of Vacheron Constantin’s nearly 180-year interaction with America, since the brand first officially arrived in 1832. The company’s historical narratives will be told using an extensive interactive timeline. The narrative will include famous Vacheron Constantin owners from the United States including Henry Graves, James Packard, Julia Ward Howe and many others.

In addition to the fascinating accounts pulled straight from the archives of Vacheron Constantin in Geneva, Switzerland, US based collectors and enthusiasts are invited to contribute personal anecdotes about their Vacheron Constantin timepieces. Interested participants will be invited to share the unique story of their timepiece, either before or after their acquisition of it. The submission will be featured as part of the timeline, and thus the owner and watch will become a part of Vacheron Constantin’s history in the United States.
