2007 – New distinction for Vacheron Constantin’s WebsiteAt the end of 2007, Vacheron Constantin received yet another mark of distinction for the quality of its website, a Gold Award. This prize is offered within the framework of the Davey Awards, a competition in which international companies are given awards for the creativity and design of their websites. No fewer than 4,000 companies from around the world participated in 2007.
This was Vacheron Constantin’s fourth international distinction in this field. Its website is constantly evolving and among the many new features included in 2007 were the inauguration of “The Hour Lounge”, the first watch discussion forum open to the general public for those who love the brand in particular and Haute Horlogerie in general, the introduction of a mini-site for the launching of the exclusive Métiers d’Art Les Masques collection, and the launching of an on-line caretaker service for the North-American market.
In his response to this new award, Marc Guten, Vacheron Constantin’s International Director, said: “In less than two years, we have received four prizes in recognition of the excellent quality of our website. This is very gratifying as it justifies our choice of a dynamic and proactive strategy in this domain, our main challenge being to use the new technologies while preserving our image as a very traditional watch manufacturer. We had many projects this year. First and foremost, this prize is a reward for the effort and hard work put in by an entire team.”
