In Universal Pictures feature film release, Miami Vice, in theaters July 28th, the character of Sonny Crockett is a man known for his good looks, sharp wit and ubiquitous high style. For a character that single handedly defined the style of the 1980's, it is only fitting that Crockett-- a smooth, cool undercover agent - sport a timepiece from the world's most exclusive watchmaker Vacheron Constantin. Over the past 250 years, the Swiss manufacture has become known for creating exceptional watches that meld the distinctly different arts of aesthetics and Haute Horlogerie.

Filmed on location in Miami, Paraguay, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic, Vacheron Constantin's Malte Chronograph with Perpetual Calendar is the only watch the character of Crockett wears in the movie. This pure platinum chronograph is designed to measure then record and display spans of time ranging from a split second to many hours - a function only a handful of watchmakers can produce. The Malte also features a perpetual calendar that displays the day of the week, the date, the month, the full leap-year cycle with automatic adjustments for months of 28, 29, 30 and 31 days, as well as the phases of the moon. An open back reveals the renowned hand craftsmanship of a Vacheron Constantin movement.

Ricardo Tubbs is played by Jamie Foxx (Ray, Jarhead). Sonny Crockett is played by Colin Farrell (S.W.A.T., The New World).
