Our values

CONSTANTLY SEEKING EXCELLENCE

For Vacheron Constantin, the quest for excellence is a state of mind and a process that involves each stage of production, from design to finishing.

For those implicated in watchmaking excellence, the challenge is to subject the raw materials to the demands of precise and meticulous craftsmanship, which guarantee exceptional quality and, as a consequence, the timelessness and durability of a product. The quest for the best is the driving force behind high-precision mechanics. Even the watch’s design is made involving high technology. Assembly of the parts, watch encasing and the various inspection protocols are carried out using this same meticulous and quality-based approach. These are gestures guaranteeing operational reliability that the maintenance service has been able to preserve and implement during the creation of all watches since 1755.

SUPPORTING CREATIVITY

As an intrinsic value of the Vacheron Constantin dynasty, it is the guiding principle behind the company’s many activities.

Creativity is supported at various levels within the manufacture. In terms of production, this approach enables Vacheron Constantin to adopt technical innovations and to manufacture movements with a multitude of complications. Aesthetic innovations also arise from this creative tendency, which ensure that the company remains avant-garde.

A COMPANY THAT IS OPEN TO THE WORLD WITH GOOD CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP

Vacheron Constantin is a socially-responsible company aware of the community in which it operates. Through its actions, it provides a constant reminder that economic goals can be compatible with sound social and commercial ethics.

Vacheron Constantin is committed to causes of a more general nature such as maintaining human dignity and protecting the environment. It also takes action on behalf of the underprivileged, instrumenting various philanthropic activities.

RESPECTING AND TRANSMITTING TRADITIONS

From the day he opened his first workshop in 1755, Jean-Marc Vacheron recruited an apprentice. This gesture has gone on to represent a fundamental idea: the desire to share watchmaking knowledge. Transmission and sharing enables a pool of common expertise and experience to be accumulated, and creates a collective memory.

In this way, the awareness of a shared history is able to grow and a tradition can be developed; a tradition that adheres to the underlying principles of the watchmaking manufacture and a tradition that demands from its watchmakers precisely the right gestures and the gestures of yesteryear, even if they date back 250 years.

SHARING OUR PASSION

Passion is an essential ingredient in the alchemy that takes place between the various craftsmen capable of creating, producing and presenting our exceptional timepieces. Moreover, without the notion of sharing, can perfect passion exist?

Thus the employees, craftsmen and suppliers of Vacheron Constantin, who impart their enthusiasm and share their passion, are the Brand’s most prized ambassadors.
