On 14 September, Vacheron Constantin Russia presented the new Collection Vacheron Constantin Excellence Platine in Moscow. Invited to attend the event and pay tribute to the purest, rarest, most precious and enduring of all metals, platinum, were 150 guests, well-known personalities from the worlds of business and entertainment, as well as Mr Erwin Hofer, Switzerland’s ambassador to Russia, and Marc Guten, Vacheron Constantin’s International Director.
Situated on Moscow’s prestigious Avenue Stolechnikov, the Vacheron Constantin boutique, celebrating its first anniversary, became the venue of a lively happening called Post Tenebras Lux (the city of Geneva’s motto), which highlighted the whole process of transforming platinum, from its extraction from the earth to the creation of timepieces, and was accompanied by demonstrations from one of Vacheron Constantin’s master watchmakers.
The guests were treated to a preview of Vacheron Constantin’s new platinum creations – the Skeleton Minute Repeater, the Malte OpenFace Retrograde Perpetual Calendar, the Malte Chronograph and the Patrimony Contemporaine Collection Excellence Platine – as well as 12 antique platinum Vacheron Constantin timepieces sent especially from Geneva for the event.
The evening before, there were a press conference and a VIP dinner hosted by the Vacheron Constantin boutique, transformed for the occasion into a private, highly exclusive lounge.
