The Vacheron Constantin Institute
September 2013: Inauguration of Vacheron Constantin Instutiute. Plan les Ouates team.
Mme Samira Marquis has been appointed as Director of the Vacheron Constantin Institute for Human Capital and Crafts Development. The Institute aims to promote the expertise cultivated by Vacheron Constantin, to perpetuate the in-house Artistic Crafts, as well as to train and develop sales teams. It is also a response to the growth of the Manufacture and to the new demands and challenges it implies. In addition, the Institute’s missions encompass handling skills, preparing the up-and-coming generation, putting in place programs to develop and accompany budding talents, managers and future leaders.
Alongside its internally-oriented missions, the Institute also aims to stimulate and oversee numerous activities undertaken in conjunction with external partners. This primarily involves continuing and strengthening the partnerships that the Manufacture Vacheron Constantin has established with academic circles and training institutes, notably including the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), the ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne, the University of Geneva and the École Boulle (Paris). It is in this spirit that the Institute now takes responsibility for the entire range of Vacheron Constantin’s partnerships in the fields of education and training. It also represents the Geneva-based Manufacture in its relations with public authorities in these areas, as well as with the Employers’ Federation of the Swiss watch industry and professional associations.
All Vacheron Constantin employees are the core focus of this resolutely forward-looking Institute.
“Creating the Vacheron Constantin Institute reinforces the various activities undertaken in recent years to develop our human capital and to perpetuate the professions exercised within Vacheron Constantin.”
Juan Carlos Torres, CEO Vacheron Constantin.
