Manual Movements

Caliber 1005

With its diminutive size and its winding crown placed beneath the movement, this hand-wound calibre measuring 26 mm long and 6.5 mm wide and christened “baguette”, was introduced in 1916 within an extremely slender wristwatch created for the Maharaja of Patiala. Subsequently adapted during the 1920s, it marked the start of the worldwide success of the baguette-type watch.
