Tuesday 9th December- in Paris at the Opera Bastille, Vacheron Constantin, the world’s oldest watch manufacturer, received as Sponsor of the Opera National de Paris, several hundreds guests for the Première of “Hommage à Maurice Béjart”, in presence of Gerard Mortier, Director of the Opera National de Paris and Brigitte Lefèvre, Director of the Dance as well as Juan-Carlos Torres, CEO of Vacheron Constantin, Marc Guten, International Director and Jean Yves Di Martino, Director of France.
 
Vacheron Constantin had the privilege and the honour to become last year the sponsor of the Opera National de Paris.
They divide an important common point: they hold an extraordinary artistic inheritance which they continue to cultivate and enrich everyday.
 
In front of a packed and expectant audience at the Opéra de Paris’ first tribute to Béjart since his death in November 2007, the company’s dancers performed two choreographies that have influenced the history of dance, L’Oiseau de feu and Le Sacre du Printemps
 
Among the guests, were the last Iran’s Empress Farah Pahlavi, but also Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, Victoria Abril, Samuel Le Bihan, Evelyne Bouix, Guy Bedos, Philippe Lavil, Emmanuel de Brantes, Gérard Holz, Nelson Montfort, Antoine Dulery, as well as Ulrich Lehner, Switzerland’s ambassador to France accompanied by his wife. After the representation, the guests were invited to the top floor of the Opera Bastille for a Vacheron Constantin’s private reception.
