In the late afternoon of Tuesday, 10 October 2006, 50 VIP’s gathered in Knightsbridge, London, in response to a very exclusive invitation to celebrate the spirit of travel with the 10^th anniversary of the Overseas collection and the opening of Jumeirah Essex House in New York. Attended by Juan-Carlos Torres, CEO of Vacheron Constantin, and Derek Picot, UK General Manager of Jumeirah hotels, this cocktail party was an opportunity to admire the superb collection of Overseas watches, particularly the new Dual Time models. The exhibition was organised in the Garden Room of the Jumeirah Carlton Tower by the UK Vacheron Constantin team with the help of the Condé Nast Traveller magazine, which was also associated with the event.
